‘Oldboy’
Apple invited Park Chan-wook, a South Korean director, to make a short film using iPhone13 Pro . The result is the 20-minute film ‘Life is but a dream,’ which can be watched on YouTube.
The South Korean filmmaker is known for making films that are out of the ordinary but have profound meaning. He also released “The Handmaiden” in 2016, following his 2003 thriller “Oldboy.”
The story follows an undertaker who, in need of wood to make a coffin for his town’s savior, digs up an abandoned grave. However, he inadvertently awakens the ghost of a past swordsman as a result of his actions. The ghost tries to get the coffin out of the graveyard.

The film is a Park Chan-wook martial arts fantasy that was commissioned directly by Apple. This director is known for international hits such as “Oldboy” and “Handmaiden,” in case you didn’t know.
