The Batman is already in theatres, and it’s off to a great start, with Robert Pattinson wearing the cowl and cape for a dark, detective-style version on the Caped Crusader’s narrative.
If you’d like to watch the film from home via a streaming service, VOD or DVD/Blu-ray, then we have everything you need to know. We have information where will The Batman be available for streaming –whether on HBO Max or Now/Sky, and when the movie will be available on VOD and DVD.
The Batman has been confirmed to come to streaming platform HBO Max on 19 April this year, according to Warner Bros. The date briefly appeared on the HBO website, which also revealed that the film will hit HBO linear channels on April 23.
If The Batman isn’t available to stream outside the US or wherever you are in the world on 19 April, you will still watch the movie through using a VPN service and signing up for a US HBO Max account.

When will The Batman be available on VOD?
We don’t know when The Batman will be available for rent or purchase on platforms like Amazon or Google Play. We can, however, make a guess.
We’re expecting a two to three-month gap between theatrical and VOD releases now that cinemas are returning to some semblance of normalcy. Previously, Spider-Man: No Way Home was released in theatres on December 15, 2021 and is confirmed to be released on VOD on March 22, 2022 after a three-month wait.
The Batman was released in cinemas on 4 March 2022. Therefore, we anticipate its release on digital platforms in May or June 2022.
When will The Batman release on DVD and Blu-ray?
From the previous experience, we can say that The Batman will likely be available on DVD and Blu-ray not long after it releases on VOD. As we don’t know the accurate date, we can expect this to be released in late May or early June.
For reference, The Matrix Resurrections, by same production company Warner Bros, was made available on DVD/Blu-Ray on 8 March this year in the US and 21 March in the UK after its theatrical release on December 22 last year.
