Meta Platforms Inc said on Wednesday it will let go of 13% of its workforce, or more than 11,000 employees, in one of the biggest layoffs this year as the Facebook parent battles soaring costs and a weak advertising market, reports Reuters. Facebook has blocked Russian state media from running ads or monetizing on its platform anywhere in the world as Russia’s invasion of neighboring Ukraine reached the streets of Kyiv, a Reuters report says.
